Overview
We are seeking a suitably qualified Subject Leader of Art from January 2026. We are a popular Academy, consistently oversubscribed, and with consistently high-quality outcomes at KS4. We pride ourselves on a culture built upon strong relationships, mutual respect and a commitment to developing students and staff alike. Our curriculum has always been based upon quality, breadth and choice.
Art is a popular subject within a vibrant Technology Faculty. It plays a crucial part in the high number of students pursuing STEAM subjects across the school, delivers excellent results and gives students creative experiences to take with them beyond the classroom.
As a leader of a strong team, you will teach students across the ability range and foster a love of Art & Design through teaching which supports, engages and challenges learners to achieve their best. You will join a department, and a wider Technology Faculty which are hugely popular with and greatly respected by our students across both key stages.
Responsibilities
* Teach students across the age and ability range.
* Lead and develop a strong Art & Design department within the Technology Faculty.
* Support, engage and challenge learners to help them achieve their best.
* Collaborate with colleagues across the Technology Faculty to deliver high-quality STEAM experiences.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified teacher with appropriate subject specialism in Art & Design.
* Experience of leading or coordinating a department is desirable.
* Ability to teach across the age and ability range.
