This is an exciting opportunity to join a company where tradition meets innovation. They are now looking to appoint a Technical Services Manager to lead the Technical Team, with potential for growth within the company.
Role Responsibilities
* Lead the UK technical responsibilities related to product safety, quality, legality, and authenticity.
* Coordinate with customers’ technical teams and suppliers on product-related matters.
* Maintain high service levels, manage specifications, audit questionnaires, gap analysis, customer site visits, BRC and HACCP compliance, food labelling, ERP system, Horizon scanning, shelf-life extensions, traceability, and customer complaints.
* Champion Food Safety Culture within the company.
* Manage and develop two direct reports, including training and development.
* Identify and explore projects for process improvements.
* This position is based at Norwich head office with some homeworking and travel.
Candidate Profile
* Degree or HND in a food-related discipline with at least 5 years’ experience in a technical role within a BRC accredited food manufacturing environment in the UK or Ireland.
* Knowledge of supply requirements for major grocery retailers and food manufacturers.
* Excellent organisational, time management, and relationship-building skills.
* Customer-facing and team management abilities.
* Decision-making skills, initiative, and drive.
* Full clean driving license required.
