Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing
Champion Safety and Excellence
* Act as the go-to QHSE expert for managers and teams, providing trusted advice and practical support on all quality, health, safety and environmental matters
* Partner with operational leaders to embed safe working practices and ensure we consistently meet Swissport's QHSE management systems
* Lead by example through visible leadership, coaching and engagement that brings our Zero Incident and Zero Waste culture to life
Drive Continuous Improvement
* Monitor and support the delivery of QHSE KPIs across people, equipment, facilities and aircraft operations
* Identify opportunities for improvement, support corrective actions and help teams learn from both successes and challenges
* Build QHSE awareness and capability across all levels through effective communication and knowledge sharing
Ensure Compliance and Manage Risk
* Support internal audits, inspections and investigations, ensuring findings are documented, tracked and acted upon
* Assist with incident investigations to identify root causes and share lessons learned across the station
* Help maintain the operational risk register and ensure we stay ahead of legal and regulatory requirements
Build Strong Partnerships
* Develop trusted relationships with colleagues, customer airlines, airport authorities and regulatory bodies
* Communicate QHSE performance clearly and effectively to station management
* Ensure local activities align with Swissport's global standards and strategic direction
Qualifications
You'll Bring:
* Knowledge of UK aviation safety or operational regulations relating to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment
* Experience supporting or implementing QHSE systems, processes or behavioural safety programmes
* Excellent communication and influencing skills – you can engage and coach people at all levels with confidence
* Strong attention to detail, personal integrity and organisational capability
* The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment where priorities can shift quickly
* Flexibility to work varied hours and spend time in operational areas alongside our teams
It Would Be Great If You Also Have:
* Experience in aviation, logistics, cargo, workshop or similar operational environments
* Exposure to ISO/OHSAS management systems or auditor certification
* Experience supporting cultural change or continuous improvement initiatives
