The Regional Trade Compliance & Logistics Manager at Plexus is accountable for overseeing our trade compliance and logistics teams, collaborating with service providers, and ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders. We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced leader who can provide expert advice on trade compliance laws and regulations to support our operations.
Key Job Accountabilities:
1. Oversees the EMEA International Trade and Logistics program.
2. Manages duty and freight expenses for all European plants.
3. Assesses logistics processes and trade compliance controls, identifies gaps, and takes responsibility for closing them in partnership with Site/Regional Leadership and Corporate Trade Compliance team.
4. Collaborates cross-functionally to lead process improvements, automation projects, and optimization initiatives to enhance product movement efficiency and compliance, including designing the organization to support business requirements and growth.
5. Monitors and communicates changes in the export compliance regulatory environment in the EMEA region.
6. Represents local operations to the Corporate Trade Compliance team on trade compliance and logistics matters.
7. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and leader for Logistics and Trade Compliance processes and requirements in EMEA Operations.
8. Conducts compliance audits with sites and supports improvement plans.
9. Identifies and mitigates compliance opportunities and risks.
10. Executes Plexus' Best People strategy by evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and providing development and coaching to employees.
Skills & Experience Required:
11. Minimum Bachelor's degree, ideally in a business or technical related field.
12. Previous experience in Import, Export, Trade Compliance, and transportation.
13. Extensive knowledge of UK & European Union customs regulations and procedures.
14. Demonstrated experience in international trade (import / export).
15. Strong Project Management skills, with the ability to manage several projects at a time.
16. Computer literacy in MRP, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
17. Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal/influencing skills.
18. Customer management and financial experience is a plus.
