About Us

Rapid Wireless (part of the Rapid Technologies Group) is a specialist in microwave radio communications, point-to-point links, mast & tower builds, Wi-Fi solutions, mobile signal boosting, and private 5G networks. With over 40 years of industry expertise, we deliver end-to-end connectivity solutions for critical sectors including defence, government, ISPs, utilities, and transport.

We are growing quickly and are looking for a driven Business Development Manager / Technical Salesperson to help us expand our presence in the UK.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will:

* Identify and win new business across key sectors (defence, ISP, utilities, government, etc.).
* Help shape and sell enterprise-grade Wi-Fi solutions alongside our wider wireless offering.
* Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals.
* Work closely with our technical and engineering team to scope and price solutions.
* Represent Rapid Wireless at client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
* Build long-term customer relationships and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
* Provide accurate forecasting and reporting to the Sales Director.

What We're Looking For

* Proven experience in business development or technical sales, ideally in telecoms, Wi-Fi networking, or critical communications.
* Understanding of microwave radio, Wi-Fi networking, or telecoms infrastructure.
* Ability to sell into technical and commercial audiences, including tenders and bids.
* Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
* Self-motivated and ambitious, with the drive to open new markets.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Desirable:

* Experience with vendors such as Aviat, SIAE, Cambium, Siklu.
* Knowledge of Wi-Fi design and deployment for commercial environments.
* Defence sector experience.
* Existing network of contacts in ISP, utilities, or government sectors.
