About the apprenticeship
Duties
Learn real, practical skills every day, from preparing subfloors to fitting carpets, vinyl and other floor coverings — working alongside experienced fitters who will teach you the trade step by step.
Gain a recognised Level 2 qualification through a mix of hands‑on work and supportive training sessions, giving you a solid foundation for a long-term career in flooring.
Be part of a team that looks after you, with patient mentoring, clear guidance and a workplace where you’re treated fairly and encouraged to grow at your own pace.
Progress to senior fitter status once you’ve built up your experience, with the opportunity to earn meterage and take on more responsibility as your confidence and skills develop.
Driving is helpful, but not essential — what matters most is your attitude: being polite with customers, willing to learn, physically capable and proud of doing a good day’s work.
