Project Manager – Major Sporting Event
Location: Glasgow
Contract: Fixed Term (Jan/Feb – August)
Salary: Competitive (up to £50k range depending on experience) + Length-of-Service Bonus
This is a rare opportunity to play a key leadership role in one of Glasgow’s biggest sporting events of 2026. Our client, a leading Facilities Management provider, is delivering soft services across several high-profile venues city-wide, and they are looking for an experienced Project Manager to take full ownership of delivery for this major event.
About the Role
As the Project Manager, you will oversee mobilisation, operations, and demobilisation across multiple Glasgow venues, ensuring seamless delivery from start to finish. This is a high-profile, fast-paced contract where you will play a critical part in planning, coordinating teams, managing stakeholders, and ensuring exceptional service throughout the duration of the event programme.
You will act as the central point of accountability, making key decisions, communicating with senior stakeholders, and ensuring operational excellence at every stage.
With continued growth across the region, there is also potential for this fixed-term role to lead to a permanent opportunity upon successful completion of the contract.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the full project lifecycle across several major Glasgow venues

Manage mobilisation, live event operations, and demobilisation activities
*
Coordinate teams, schedules, resources, and service delivery
*
Be the senior on-site contact for the client and key stakeholders
*
Monitor performance, respond to operational challenges, and ensure high standards
*
Produce clear reporting, updates, and communication throughout the project
*
Maintain service excellence in fast-moving, dynamic event environments
What We’re Looking For

Strong background in Facilities Management Project Management
*
Experience coordinating multi-site operations or complex projects
*
Confident managing multiple teams and senior stakeholders
*
Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills
*
Calm, proactive and solutions-focused under pressure
*
Able to commit from late January / early February through to August
