About the role
We are seeking a passionate and committed Teaching Fellow to join our School of Management. In this role, you will contribute to our established teaching programmes in the areas of Management, Work, Employment and Human Resource Management, delivering high-quality teaching to both campus-based and distance learning students.
Your responsibilities will include delivering and managing lectures, seminars, online sessions and discussion forums, providing timely feedback on student work, and offering pastoral support. You will take responsibility for module leadership, design, and quality, as well as contribute to curriculum development and the use of innovative teaching methods and technologies.
As a valued member of our academic community, you will work closely with programme directors and colleagues to foster a vibrant teaching culture, while maintaining a broad knowledge of current scholarship to ensure our students benefit from a research-led learning environment.
About you
You will hold (or be close to completing) a PhD in Management, Work and Employment, Human Resource Management, or a closely related field, or possess equivalent professional qualifications and experience. You will also have experience of teaching in these subject areas at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, and ideally have a teaching qualification such as a PGCAP or HEA Fellowship.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, the ability to engage and inspire students, and a commitment to delivering outstanding learning experiences. You will be adept at working independently as well as collaboratively, with proven competency in your subject area and a readiness to contribute to the wider life of the School and University.
