An opportunity exists for an experienced Security Architect to join a growing, high-impact team delivering technology-centric transformation programmes across complex and sensitive enterprise environments. This role is ideal for a security professional who thrives on innovation, collaboration, and designing robust security solutions for both traditional IT and operational technology (OT) systems.
The Role
The Security Architect will work closely with technical and solution architects to define and implement secure architectures for high-profile enterprise solutions. This includes validating security controls, recommending improvements, and ensuring compliance across systems using industry-standard frameworks. The role requires collaboration with information assurance and penetration testing teams, delivering security solutions in agile, innovative, and team-focused environments.
Key Responsibilities Designing and implementing security architectures across enterprise IT and operational technology systems
Collaborating with technical teams to integrate security into solution design and delivery
Conducting threat modelling to identify vulnerabilities and define security requirements
Managing security requirements throughout the system delivery and operational lifecycle
Providing specialist security advice on: Risk-based and threat-based mitigation strategies
Security frameworks such as NIST, ISO, CIS
Authentication, authorisation, and protective monitoring best practices
Developing strong working relationships with stakeholders, peers and teams
Communicating complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
Preparing written guidance, reports, and delivering impactful presentations
Applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills in information technology
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in at least one of the following areas: IP networking and operational technology (OT)
On-premises architecture and virtualisation
Cloud platforms and containerisation
Databases and large language models (LLMs)
Mobile technologies and application security
Additional qualities include: Demonstrated experience in threat modelling and security requirements management
Ability to provide authoritative advice on security risks, controls and mitigation
Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in complex IT or OT environments
