Cardiorespiratory at York Hospital is looking for an individual to join the team as an administrative support officer. The successful candidate will provide a range of administrative support services, be based in the Cardiorespiratory office, and will work part‑time with usual hours Monday, Tuesday and Friday 9am‑5pm.
Responsibilities
* Undertake administration functions for the department, such as data input, photocopying, filing and letter writing.
* Accurately record, input and amend data within Trust information systems.
* Communicate effectively, using tact and diplomacy, and employ multiple communication methods (email, telephone, reception duties, etc.) to overcome barriers to effective communication.
* Work collaboratively with the wider departmental team to ensure a consistent and effective service.
* Use initiative within the role, but seek guidance when required and appropriate.
* Assist and support the development and improvement of service, and in the implementation of Trust and Departmental policies and procedures.
* Complete all mandatory training required by the Trust and actively participate in personal development.
* Assist in the development and training of new team members.
* Prioritise own workload and coordinate activities/duties related to the role.
* Adhere to all Trust and Departmental Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess effective administrative and computer skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritise workload independently while working within a team.
