Job Purpose:
As a Lecturer in Health and Social Care, you will design, develop, and deliver undergraduate teaching materials, ensuring high-quality educational experiences aligned with institutional standards. You will also contribute to research, guide students, and support collaborative learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching & Curriculum Development:
o Deliver engaging lectures and seminars on core modules.
o Develop and revise curriculum materials to meet industry standards.
o Apply diverse teaching techniques to cater to student needs.
2. Student Assessment & Support:
o Supervise projects, internships, and placements.
o Create fair assessment methods and provide feedback.
o Support students academically and pastorally.
3. Research & Scholarship:
o Engage in scholarly activities and research projects.
o Publish findings and seek research funding.
o Establish links with health and social care providers.
o Represent the institution at relevant conferences.
4. Administrative & Quality Assurance:
o Manage academic duties such as admissions and assessment records.
o Ensure course content complies with quality guidelines.
Person Specification:
* Qualifications: Master's in Health and Social Care or related; PhD preferred. Teaching qualification or willingness to pursue one.
* Experience: Teaching at higher education level; practical sector experience preferred; research engagement advantageous.
* Skills: Strong communication, adaptable teaching methods, sensitivity to student needs.
