GBR Recruitment Ltd are proudly working in an exclusivity deal with a rapidly expanding chilled / ambient warehouse & logistics business, who are recruiting for an experienced Transport General Manager (National CPC qualified & desirably IOSH qualified too), to ensure that the transport department operates in a highly efficient, cost effective lean manner, meeting customer SLA's & ensuring the transport operation runs in a legal compliant manner at all times, along with maximising operational efficiencies, plus wherever possible increasing revenue levels / streams & increased profit margins within a highly competitive market place. You will be a transport & logistics professional with GM level experience, as well as having had previous exposure within the food, fresh produce & short shelf life products industries, ensuring products arrive on time & depart on time to the end using customer. Ideally you will have worked with the Big 4 food retailers & other leading businesses. BRC legislation knowledge & experience is also desirable, as in this role due to their customer base these are the standards the company must adhere to.
