The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully winning projects, reading and interpreting drawings and specifications, and experience with estimating software. You should be an excellent communicator and negotiator, with strong IT skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work well under pressure and meet tender deadlines.
Requirements
Role and Responsibilities:
* Take responsibility for the cost creation and quoting of multiple enquiries/projects.
* Price bills of quantities and specifications.
* Demonstrate estimating and bid presentation experience within a commercial setting.
* Evaluate tender information and prepare tender action plans.
* Understand detailed working drawings from architects and designers, producing scopes of work for pricing from technical drawings.
* Define scope with managerial involvement, including subcontractor and material enquiries, and issue to the agreed list.
* Conduct onsite visits with clients to prepare scopes of work and understand their requirements.
* Deliver sub-contractor and supplier packages.
* Manage quick turnarounds of multiple projects ranging from £5k to £5m.
* Prepare quotes and tender packages.
* Negotiate evaluations and final pricing to ensure profitable margins, considering alternatives for financial or program advantages.
* Track and validate all costs.
* Maintain key supplier liaison and external pricing in line with project needs.
* Promote and develop the company's sales and advertising efforts.
* Display an ambitious and driven personality with a hunger for success.
Skills:

* At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
* Industry qualification preferred.
