We’re looking for a driven individual to work as a Product Owner, reporting to the Senior Product Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract / secondment.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our London, Swindon, Northampton, Bournemouth, Sheffield, Wakefield or Dunfermline office
What you'll be doing
* You will be leading our FSCS team, using your experience in people management, risk and process to ensure a compliant process, risks are managed and improvements are identified and delivered.
* Own key relationships across the Society - finding consensus and influencing stakeholders to move ideas forward at pace.
* Use your excellent communication skills to distil complex technical change in simple easy to understand messages for wider consumption.
* Develop quality written proposals that facilitate formal decision making and broaden the understanding of key issues.
* Using your abilities to review and interpret data and insight to identify emerging risks and monitor customer outcomes.
* Supporting end to end delivery of complex proposals and propositions.
* Work closely with teams including Data and Insight, Finance, Tax, Compliance and Legal to investigate incidents, issues and complaints and put it right when things go wrong.
About you
As a minimum, we are looking for someone with the following:
* Has product owner or product management experience in Financial Services, demonstrating an understanding of customer, commercial and operational impacts as well as risk management.
* Experience or understanding of FSCS rules and management is beneficial.
* Experience in working with data engineering stakeholders and relaying technical information into simple messages for a wider audience.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to identify challenges and develop solutions through use of data and insight, commercial awareness, and analytical skills.
* People management experience of a small team.
* Possess strong influencing skills and collaborative behaviours.
* Ability to present information to senior executives.
