We are a thriving secondary school in South Bristol seeking an experienced English teacher to join our team of seven specialist English teachers.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stage 4, covering a range of modules and concepts in English and English Literature.
Act as a Learning Mentor Tutor, spending time with students daily to support their learning and wellbeing.
Contribute to curriculum development, shared planning within the English department, and the wider life of the school.
Support inclusive, values‑led ethos and work collaboratively with colleagues.
Qualifications and Attributes
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
* Relevant specialist qualifications and experience (e.g., BA (Hons) in English or related degree).
* Ability to deliver high‑quality lessons covering a range of modules and concepts.
* Good understanding of curriculum and assessment requirements for English.
* Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering high‑quality teaching and learning, ensuring learners progress and achieve to a high standard.
* Excellent classroom practitioner, committed to inclusive and engaging teaching.
* Works well as part of a collaborative faculty team.
* Brings professionalism, creativity, and a student‑first mindset.
* Aligns with Oasis values of inclusion, equity, and aspiration for all.
* Can contribute to curriculum development and shared planning within the English team.
* Can be actively involved in the wider life of the school.
