PROJECT MANAGER - R&D
At Medik8, we’re redefining skincare innovation. As a leading, science-led and B Corp™ certified brand, we pride ourselves on developing all products in-house. Our R&D division is the heart of this – pioneering technologies, ingredients, and skincare experiences that deliver visible results without compromise.
We’re now looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing cross-functional NPD and EPD projects – leading timelines from concept to launch, coordinating stakeholders, and keeping delivery on track. You’ll work closely with our in-house teams to elevate our award-winning portfolio with precision, pace, and positivity.
This is a hybrid role based at our new Innovation Centre in Aylesbury (HP22 5WJ), reporting to a Senior Project Manager and working within a close-knit team of seven.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Leading and managing NPD, EPD, and cross-functional projects (including Margin Improvement, Regulatory Compliance, and Sustainability).
* Owning project timelines, holding teams accountable for delivery on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
* Identifying and escalating risks to senior stakeholders, enabling timely, informed decision-making.
* Running efficient project meetings, breaking down complex challenges into actionable steps.
* Collaborating with technical, regulatory, supply chain, and marketing functions to keep launches on track.
The successful candidate will:
* Have a solid understanding of New Product Development (NPD) processes, ideally in beauty, FMCG or consumer goods.
* Have experience managing cross-functional teams using the Stage Gate process.
* Have a positive, can-do attitude with a natural ability to keep teams motivated and aligned.
* Be data-led and detail-oriented – able to turn complexity into clarity.
* Be adaptable, resilient, and always looking for ways to improve how things are done.
