Job Description Summary
The individual will work with the admissions team to attract and enroll qualified undergraduate students. Responsibilities include developing strategies to communicate institutional messages, cultivating relationships with counselors and educational organizations, supporting efforts to attract underrepresented populations in STEM, and developing strategic recruitment plans for specific geographic areas.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and manage partnerships with Community Based Organizations (CBOs), including managing group visits, programming, and scholarships.
2. Create and implement a strategic recruitment plan for a geographic territory, including travel to high schools and territories (approximately 5-6 weeks in fall, 2-3 weeks in spring).
3. Develop recruitment strategies for underrepresented populations in STEM, including planning and managing related programs and events.
4. Staff undergraduate enrollment programs and events, such as open houses and Accepted Students Days, including evenings and weekends.
5. Represent WPI at conferences and events, conducting presentations and interviews both on- and off-campus.
6. Review and evaluate applications from assigned territories and participate in admissions planning.
7. Advise prospective students, parents, and counselors via email, letter, or phone.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in higher education.
