CoMech Metrology Ltd is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Engineer. This is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience in a technical environment while working towards recognised qualifications and building a long-term career in engineering.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the development of calibration techniques, quality assurance, and control procedures.
* Performing in-house testing, calibration, inspection, and where appropriate, repair of instruments and components.
* Assisting in the design and manufacture of test and inspection rigs.
* Working closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and external technical support.
* Ensuring all work is carried out in line with the company's quality standards and documentation.
* Liaising with the Quality Department to resolve non-conformances efficiently.
* Promoting a professional and positive attitude in the workplace.
* Accurately recording job information throughout the calibration process.
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant working environment.
* Supporting other departments as needed, including liaising with suppliers and responding to technical queries.
* Understanding and responding to the needs of business customers.
Qualifications
* A minimum of a Grade 4 (or Grade C) in GCSE Maths and English, or a Level 3 equivalent qualification
