Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of children in their formative years. The Early Years Educator will play a crucial role in fostering children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth through engaging activities and effective communication. Working hours will be Monday to Friday ( Between hours), flexibility is required as the nursery is open 7.30 to 6pm, hours could range inbetween these times. Responsibilities
* Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that cater to the individual needs of children.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
* Provide effective management and leadership within the nursery, guiding assistants and volunteers as necessary.
* Maintain open lines of communication with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns.
* Observe, assess, and record children's development, ensuring that each child's achievements are celebrated.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive approach to early years education.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery standards.
Experience
* Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting is essential.
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable or ensure you hold Level 3 in Childcare and Education.
* Demonstrated management and leadership skills to guide a team effectively.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
* Experience in childcare practices that promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
* Paediatric First Aid qualified, but not essential
* Professional and follow procedures within the nursery
