This is a pivotal role within a growing commercial team, offering the chance to shape procurement strategy, drive value, and help deliver innovative renewable infrastructure projects that support the UK’s Net Zero goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take ownership of procurement activities across multiple infrastructure projects, from early-stage development through to construction and delivery with a particular focus on Tender management
* Prepare and issue tender documentation, manage RFQs, and lead negotiations with key suppliers and subcontractors.
* Build and manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with contract terms.
* Work cross-functionally with project managers, engineers, legal and finance teams to ensure procurement aligns with project timelines and budgets.
* Track market trends and supply chain risks, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
* Support the ongoing development and implementation of procurement policies, processes, and systems.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a procurement or buying role within the energy, utilities, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with experience managing high-value contracts.
* Comfortable working across multiple projects in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* CIPS qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
