1046MARG Job Title: Plant Configuration Audit Engineer Salary: £270 Pd PAYE / £380 Pd Umbrella Location: HPC / Bridgewater / Bristol - (Hybrid) Job Purpose / Overview To provide professional, high quality configuration Auditing to the HPC Project on behalf of the Plant Configuration function of the HPC Technical Directorate and to ensure that the As-Built information reflects the Site Compliant design and is compliant to the Design Requirements. The post holder will demonstrate; · The high standards of focus on nuclear professionalism · Compliance with health, safety, environment, and other statutory requirements relevant to this role · Ability to work independently and be proactive and autonomous · Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of the organisation and externally · Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships The post holder will be based at either Hinkley Point C (HPC), SDC Bridgwater or Aztec West Bristol, 3days/week in office as a principle with a possibility of some remote working if agreed with the LM. The main scope is as follow: • Along with the rest of the Configuration Audit Team, the role will be the preferred point of contact within HPC with regards to configuration audit processes. In particular, the technical point of contact for Engineering Managers and Design Entities with regards to all configuration audit topics • Support to create the Audit Strategy, drafting the ways of working and processes required for the configuration Audits • Coordinates and controls Configuration Audit in accordance with the Plant Configuration Audit including resolution of audit actions, Non-conformances, and progressing audit reporting to verify compliance with standards • examining contractor configuration substantiation documentation and configuration control systems • Is responsible for controlling, supporting, overall steering and monitoring of the end-to-end configuration audit activities • Audit Report authoring in accordance with the Configuration Audit Plan In addition, the post-holder may be required to perform other tasks relevant for the project or to the personal development of the post holder. Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience · Degree in a relevant science or engineering subject or strong technical background · ICM CM2 certified or equivalent qualification or experience · Experience in the control of engineering documentation (such as Redline Drawings, Work Pack management, As-Built Information, Design Requirements, Execution Design, System and Sub-System design documentation, Factory Acceptance documentation) · Understanding of quality arrangements required and associated with nuclear plant construction · Understanding of equipment engineering requirements · Knowledge of design processes and activities related to Nuclear Industry including change management, configuration Auditing and associated industry standards · Knowledge of power station design is desirable (EPR or NPP) · Proficient project management, organisational and Coordination skills · Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders · Decision making and escalation ability for resolution of issues · Experience using document and PLM toolsets such as Switch 3DX, Teamcenter or similar Technical Competencies · Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil construction) or technical discipline experience · Understanding of analysis tools and methods, combined with the ability to apply them · have experience of process development · understand quality arrangements and preferably those associated with nuclear plant construction · understand engineering requirements · demonstrate ownership of a process and demonstrate proactivity in resolving Configuration Management issues · Ability to extract and compile relevant data according to the task in hand, often from numerous sources
