Location: Around Norwich
Salary: £39,140 – £42,000 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
DBS: Basic Disclosure required
The Role
We are currently recruiting for a qualified Electrician to carry out electrical maintenance and improvement works across residential properties in and around the Norwich area. This is a permanent position offering stable, long-term work within domestic properties.
A company van is provided with the role, along with tools and equipment. The employer is also happy to support the successful candidate in gaining their 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Undertake all electrical works including maintenance, modernisation, improvements and remedial works across properties.
Complete rewires, kitchen and bathroom upgrades, wiring, connection and commissioning of heating fuel systems.
Ensure all jobs are correctly closed down via a mobile device upon completion.
Take responsibility for company equipment including van stock, tools, vehicle and materials.
Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota as required.
Maintain high safety standards to ensure the security of tenants and properties.
Work in both occupied and void properties, including confined spaces such as roof voids.
Essential Qualifications & Certification
Applicants must have:
NVQ Level 2 in Electrical Installation
AM2 qualification
18th Edition BS7671 (preferred)
Full UK Driving Licence
The company will support the successful candidate in obtaining the City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification if not already held.
Experience Required
Background in domestic electrical works
Experience in both occupied and unoccupied properties preferred
Basic competence in testing and inspecting installations
Skills & Attributes
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
Confident using mobile devices and digital job systems
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working in confined spaces and varying weather conditions
