About the Role
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join our Northwest team. If you are enthusiastic, committed, and appreciate the vital role of foster parents, we want to hear from you!
Your Responsibilities
* Provide direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload, ensuring high levels of supervision.
* Conduct regular supervision sessions with allocated foster parents, monitoring their practice and compliance with regulatory standards.
* Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate full participation in meetings and decision-making processes.
* Engage in recruitment, training, and supervision of foster parents while promoting the welfare of children placed with us.
What We’re Looking For
* A Social Work England qualification or equivalent, with registration.
* Experience working within fostering and a comprehensive understanding of fostering regulations, childcare law, and safeguarding legislation.
* Excellent communication skills and a commitment to high-quality practice.
* Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.
* A full driving licence and unrestricted access to your own vehicle.
* Willingness to participate in an Out of Hours rota for the Northwest region.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position with a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. You will work 37 hours per week from our office in the Northwest, starting in March 2026.
Compensation and Benefits
* Competitive salary of up to £39,000 (dependent on experience).
* A generous £3,000 car allowance.
* 30 days of annual leave (increasing to 35 days with length of service) plus bank holidays.
