Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:
* 3rd Level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or Trade background
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a site-based MEP role
* Strong collaboration skills and ability to work within a high-performance team
Key responsibilities:
* Ensure Mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety for all stakeholders
* Lead by example and communicate company safety policies effectively
* Be aware of hazardous energies and manage site-specific safety strategies (Lock Out Tag Out)
* Maintain knowledge of project Mechanical systems and monitor installation for compliance with specifications and schedule
* Understand project commissioning requirements and assist in developing Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs)
* Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure compliance
* Coordinate that areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use, aligned with the construction program
* Provide stakeholders with necessary information to facilitate system installation and project progression
* Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to execute electrical activities efficiently
* Review the master construction schedule to optimize sequencing and focus on critical work faces
* Participate in onsite and offsite meetings with project stakeholders
* Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required
* Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower
* Review and ensure production of essential project documents by system stakeholders, including:
(i) Construction and Commissioning Programs aligned with the master schedule
(ii) Works execution documents and trackers
(iii) Risk Assessments and Method Statements
(iv) Progress reports aligned with scope and schedule
(v) Field and Vendor turnover/handover packs as required
