Join to apply for the Maintenance Technician role at Tesco. This is a hands-on role across Tesco stores in the Oban area, focusing on planned and reactive maintenance to keep stores safe, functional and welcoming for customers and colleagues. Your work will directly impact the shopping experience of thousands of customers, and you will use your technical expertise to identify and resolve issues with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance and quality. Responsibilities
* Interact confidently with external contractors and coordinate repairs seamlessly.
* Collaborate with the team to deliver quality service and share best practice.
* Maintain high energy levels and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Assist the management team in keeping stores operating smoothly by maintaining equipment and facilities.
* Minimise customer disruption by coordinating repairs with minimal impact.
* Ensure Tesco sites are safe and functioning for customers and colleagues.
* Follow the planned work schedule to achieve first-time fixes and improve efficiency.
* Work closely with team members and share knowledge.
* Carry out general day-to-day store and property maintenance.
* Utilise mobile devices (phone/tablet) to drive work updates and completion.
* Represent the Tesco brand by upholding our values and wearing the Tesco uniform with pride.
* Attend local and national meetings, providing input and feedback.
* Support a diverse and inclusive culture.
Qualifications
* Operational Skills: ONC or equivalent
* Full driving license
* Health and Safety awareness
* Communication and collaboration
* Office 365 knowledge
* Completed all relevant technical training upskilling modules
