The Role
The role of Collections Agent at Payl8r is primarily to communicate with our customers in arrears through a range of contact channels. We strive to ensure that our customers receive a friendly and professional journey. In addition, we look for people with great work ethics, the ability to work to tight deadlines, use initiative and communicate effectively at all levels. We are a regulated lender and fast paced department, as such we have targets to be met, all geared to meet our customers' expectations whilst achieving the business goals.
Key Responsibilities
* To be proactive in recovering customer arrears via telephone, and written communication
* Great time management, setting appropriate, sustainable repayment arrangements
* Quickly address failed arrangements in an appropriate and timely manner
* Address customer's change of circumstances in line with company policy and procedures surrounding potentially vulnerable customers
* To liaise with other Payl8r departments to ensure the customer receives the correct outcomes to collections issues raised
* Strong awareness of Financial services regulators, rules and guidelines, ensuring completion of mandatory training within set guidelines.
* To address and raise any risks identified through the course of the role and in line with company policy
* To assist in projects / mini-initiatives within the collections function as required
* Aspirational performance, be ambitious, look to achieve above and beyond – meeting KPI’s as standard

Requirements for the Role
* Collections experience ideally within a regulated environment
* Consumer finance would be an advantage
* Analytical skills by use of excel
* Have resilience and be a team player
Skills and Qualifications
* You must be IT literate with experience of using Outlook, Excel.
* Strong written, numeracy and oral communication skills.
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* To be able to recognise and deal with customers sensitive circumstances and ensure the appropriate actions is taken
* Ability to prioritise, be organised and efficient
* Flexibility with the capability to adapt to change, new practices and cope under pressure but with the ability to recognise when to seek assistance
* Able to integrate within a team and able to work on your own initiative
