Your New JobHays Education are working in partnership with a specialist in Leicester to recruit a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant and Behaviour Mentor. This full-time role is to start in September and is offered on a temporary basis initially, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students aged with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You'll work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to deliver tailored support, both 1:1 and in small groups, helping pupils access a bespoke curriculum that includes academic and vocational elements.Your New CompanyThis welcoming and inclusive SEMH school, located in Leicester. * Experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs
* A calm, empathetic, and patient approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through Hays
* Qualifications such as Team Teach, MAPA, or a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification are advantageous but not essential.
