We're looking for a Head of Royalties to join our growing team. Who you are The Head of Royalties is integral to the growth of Y Royalties, we are seeking an experienced and effective manager who has vision and drive to ensure Y Royalties is at the forefront of royalty accounting, great at client management, team development and commercially aware. Management Commercial ownership of Royalties (including Business Development, concluding client agreements, client billing) Manage the team’s work prioritisation, allocation and review alongside their professional development Product and Service development with a focus on adding value to Client Royalty Service Project Management (e.g. new systems and processes with cross functional working (especially data team) Technical Scope covers all Recording, Publishing, profit shares and management commission royalty accounting to our clients (labels, publishers, artists and IP owners) Responsible for the accurate calculation (referencing contractual terms) processing, and distribution of royalties and other third-party revenues Work closely with legal and business affairs teams to interpret contracts. Proactively oversee royalty tracking across all clients, ensuring all statements received and resolving reporting issues and missing payments. Proactively oversee any discrepancies in repertoire registration and collections with collecting societies during third-party accounting, working closely with the Rights Management team to resolve issues. Skills & Qualifications Required 10 years working in the Music Industry Proficiency with Curve and similar royalty software platforms Experience with Project software (Monday.com) and BI Systems (Tableau), Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to show initiative. Proven ability to implement process improvements and manage projects effectively.
