We are looking for a talented Accounting Technician or Assistant Accountant to join our team: What you will do: Processing and reconciling accounts payable invoices, supplier statements and payment runs Managing accounts receivable, issuing invoices, allocating payments and following up on outstanding balances Performing bank reconciliations, petty cash and credit card reconciliations Assisting with general ledger postings, journals and accruals Supporting month-end and year-end close procedures, preparing supporting schedules and reports Assisting with VAT returns, payroll preparation support and compliance tasks Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity Preparing ad hoc financial reports and analysis for management Liaising with suppliers, customers and internal departments to resolve queries Supporting senior finance staff with continuous improvement and finance projects Assist in the preparation & submission of funding claims to Innvoate UK, Invest NI & other government bodies Additional duties as requested by Management What we are looking for: Part qualified or qualified Accounting Technician or QBE Strong understanding of accounting principles Excellent numerical skills, and advanced Excel skills Strong demonstrable experience of financial and accounting tools and software Excellent planning and organisational skills, and a high attention to detail Excellent IT skills (MS Office, Google Workspace), with the ability to grasp a variety of platforms and systems quickly Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and solid writing skills Experience working in an Engineering/Technical environment is desirable Experience working in a start-up is desirable Angoka is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
