Location: Stockport/Manchester (flexible working available).
Contract: 12‑month fixed term.
Salary: £24,000 (base pay range provided by NHS Property Services Ltd).
About the role
The Treasury Cashier provides centralised cash management and treasury support across the organisation, ensuring accurate and timely allocation of corporate funds in line with Group Treasury Policy, optimising cash flow, supporting debt and liquidity goals, and delivering high‑quality management information to aid financial decision‑making.
Responsibilities
* Ensure a good working knowledge of NAV, Horizon, and Excel.
* Accurate and timely allocation of customer cash.
* Consulting with credit controllers daily to cover dedicated accounts.
* Ensure all necessary documentation and/or system entries are completed accurately, and information is well documented.
* Maintain an accurate record of all activity and ensure that all documents are properly filed electronically and easily retrievable for reference.
* Ensure all customer cheque receipts are allocated in a timely manner and file maintained to high standard.
* Assist with resolving unallocated cash queries internally.
* Ensure adequate controls and procedures are being adhered to, to achieve best practice across treasury processes.
* Collate and analyse data from various sources and report findings to other departments within the organization.
* Prepare ad‑hoc reporting as required, including MI analysis and reporting.
* Consult with Accounts Payable, Credit Control, HQ, Zonal finance teams and banks to ensure timely resolution of treasury related queries.
* Assist Treasury Manager, Treasury Team Lead and Treasury Cashiers with any ad‑hoc tasks as required.
* Always provide excellent customer service.
