We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator with excellent administrative experience to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in preparation of import/ export documentation, maintenance of internal records regarding shipments, booking of transport and sending details of shipments to customers. Although knowledge of logistics would be beneficial, excellent administrative and organisational skills are essential to succeed in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Responsible for arranging transport to Export customers ensuring on time delivery of customer orders
* Responsible for arranging uplift from supply chain and coordinating the import entry
* Expediting & Filing of all documentation relating to the above when required
* Preparation of documentation to meet customer & HMRC Requirements
* Advising customers of shipping details, liaison with freight forwarders to arrange shipping in a timely manner and achieve cost effective shipments ensuring the customer is updated throughout the process
* Liaise with other departments within Howco to ensure orders are on schedule to ensure on time delivery
* Produce and supply customers with all relevant documentation prior to and after despatch date
Competencies
* Successful track record as a Logistics Coordinator, ideally from a engineering/manufacturing background
* Good planning, organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
* Diagnostic Skills
* Sound understanding of customers' requirements

* Team player but able to work on own initiative
* Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-moving environment
* Computer literate, knowledge of Microsoft Office Programmes

Job Requirements Qualifications
* Good administration skills
* Understanding and experience of both import and export entries
* Knowledge of import/export procedures and required documentation including all methods of shipment e.g. road, airfreight, sea freight and courier Import procedures
* Knowledge of manufacturing environment

Monday to Thursday - 08:00 - 16:30
Friday - 08:00 - 15:30

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
