Senior Pharmacy Technician - Specialist (Dispensary) Band 5 (Permanent)

We are looking for highly motivated individual to join our busy, friendly pharmacy department at Croydon University Hospital.

Main duties of the job
Main duties of the post include
1. To provide support to the Pharmacy Teams in the Dispensary.
2. You will take part in audit activities, staff Training (PS Course) and in QI projects.
3. You will also be required to co-ordinate work flow in the dispensary and take a lead role where necessary.
4. You will assist in ACPT checking and in the training and development of staff you line manage.
5. You will also be responsible for understanding, developing and scheduling plans and assist in writing procedures. For further information, please read job description.

6. Registered Pharmacy Technician with GPHC
7. Must Hold ACPT qualification
Desirable
8. Qualified D32 / D33 or NVQ Assessor
9. Significant relevant pharmaceutical experience
10. JAC & Audit/ Quality Improvement Project

11. Significant and proven post qualification experience in hospital pharmacy
12. Proven ward based experience (minimum six months or more)
13. Education and Training of Pharmacy Staff
14. Supervision of Staff
15. Top-up/distribution service

16. Knowledge of JAC computer system
17. Working in a multidisciplinary team

18. Dispensing experience including patient counselling
