Whether you’re new to care or have worked in care roles throughout your career, for us it is about you as an individual and whether you share our values, as we can support you to learn the rest.

The Recovery Hub is a 24 hour residential service for adults with enduring mental health and support needs. The service is a 9 bedded unit and is staffed 24 hours daily.

The position is a full time position at 37.5 hours per week so we can't accept part time positions at the moment. There are a variety of day shifts, waking night shifts and sleep in shifts, all of which will be expected to be covered in line with job role and responsibilities, to ensure safe and effective care, treatment and support.
At The Recovery Hub we support people to manage and maintain their mental health and wellbeing, and learn skills required to regain their independence and empower them to move on to more independent accommodation.
At The Recovery Hub experience is not essential, if you have good values, are kind and compassionate and want to make a difference in people’s lives, we want you.

The successful Support Worker will:

* Have excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence and maturity.
* The ability to motivate yourself and others and be able to work openly and honestly as part of a team.
* Have good values, showing compassion, kindness, empathy and understanding to the people they support.
* Be willing to engage in learning to support the development of themselves and those around them, be flexible and able to adapt to any situation and put the person at the centre of all that they do.

As Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

* Encouraging and enabling service users to make day-to-day choices and major life decisions, signposting as appropriate, and to develop a positive self-image and maintain good health.
* Supporting service users to develop relationships to maintain contact with family and friends.
* Providing service users with the agreed necessary support to maximise their independence and to develop social and life skills.
* Supporting social inclusion for people within the local community.

At Milestones Trust we recognise that without the hard work, commitment and passion of our staff, we wouldn’t be the charity that we are today. In return, we are committed to rewarding you with a competitive pay and benefits package including:

* 30 days annual leave entitlement.
* Company pension scheme, to help grow your retirement pot.
* Learning and development opportunities to help you to build your career, including a comprehensive induction programme, and the opportunity to undertake further qualifications.

* Generous Occupational Maternity/Paternity pay.
* Get paid when you want – access your money as you earn it and request your earnings before payday using Dayforce Wallet.
* Access to an Employee Discount Platform from day one, with discounts and cashback for hundreds of retailers.
* An employee referral scheme that allows you to earn points that can be converted to cash for family members or friends that you point in Milestones’ direction.
