Primary School Teacher – EYFS (Mornings Only)
Location: Wirral
Start Date: January
Contract: Ongoing (with potential to increase to full days)
New Directions Education is working with a welcoming primary school on the Wirral who are seeking an experienced EYFS Primary Teacher to join their team from January, initially working mornings only.
This role would suit a teacher with strong experience supporting children with SEND within EYFS, who is confident, nurturing and passionate about early years development. There is potential for the role to increase to full days for the right candidate.
The role includes:
1. Teaching and supporting children within an EYFS setting
2. Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
3. Supporting pupils with additional needs within the classroom
4. Working collaboratively with school staff and support teams
The ideal candidate will:
5. Hold QTS (or equivalent)
6. Have EYFS teaching experience (SEND experience essential)
7. Be patient, adaptable and child-centred
8. Be available for morning sessions from January

Job Specification
An EYFS Teacher works in day nurseries and also nursery or reception classes in infant or primary schools.

As an EYFS teacher you’ll be expected to:
16. Hold QTS status
17. Teach all areas of the Early Years Statutory Framework
18. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a safe and positive teaching environment
19. Plan and prepare activities that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within their class
20. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation;
21. Maintain discipline
22. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
23. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
24. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
25. Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
26. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly in smaller schools and day-nurseries.
