Job Description

This is a maternity cover contract for a professional experienced in data policy and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will provide strategic insights, lead complex client engagements, and contribute to product development by delivering regulatory intelligence.

As a
Senior Data Policy & Regulatory Analyst
, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and shaping our flagship compliance product,
Sentry
. You will take responsibility for analysing policy decisions and their downstream effects on the data industry and investment managers, offering strategic advice to both internal teams and external clients.

You will work cross-functionally with the company's Research, News, and Events teams, and act as a key advisor and representative during client interactions. Your responsibilities will include actively tracking emerging developments in data law, crafting authoritative, insightful, and influential analyses, and supporting high-level stakeholder engagement. This position suits an incisive, highly analytical professional with the initiative and judgement to deliver clear strategic insights across a broad and often complex information landscape.

Responsibilities

* Identify and disseminate critical news and developments in data compliance, providing timely intelligence to hedge fund clients and senior stakeholders by overseeing news monitoring processes and analysis.
* Set the agenda for investment managers by directing research initiatives and authoring authoritative thought leadership on regulatory trends, key topics, and industry best practices; play a leading role in shaping Neudata's product strategy by steering the enhancement of alerts, risk management tools, and regulatory content.
* Drive Neudata's industry-leading data vendor risk program by critically evaluating due diligence forms and investigating new risks as they emerge. Act as a key liaison between Neudata and leading hedge funds, providing guidance on data compliance and supporting high-stakes legal and compliance client calls.
* Support junior analysts and serve as a key point of contact for major hedge fund clients, providing expert guidance on compliance and managing high-priority legal and regulatory queries.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree or above.
* 4+ years of experience in a role focused on diligence, compliance, journalism, or analyzing regulations related to technology and data.
* A legal background or experience within government/regulatory bodies is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Demonstrable experience engaging with external clients and senior stakeholders, including presenting findings, managing relationships, and resolving high-priority queries.
* Strong writing skills with the ability to create insightful and compelling content with minimal supervision.
* Intellectual curiosity and a strong interest in data policy.
* An innate ability to determine the credibility of information gathered.
* Positive attitude with the desire and initiative to develop and take on additional responsibilities.
