Lancashire County Council is looking for a motivated Project Support Officer to join our Social Work Education (SWE) team within People Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a team that plays a vital role in supporting social work education, delivering development pathways and promoting professional practice across the organisation.
About the Role
Working within the Social Work Education team, you will support the delivery and co-ordination of a range of internal and national social work education programmes including:
1. Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
2. Step Up to Social Work
3. Social Work Apprenticeships
4. Practice Education
5. Student Placements
You’ll provide high quality project, administrative and analytical support across grant-funded initiatives, helping us build robust systems, maintain partnerships and develop data-driven insights that shape the future social work workforce in Lancashire.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll be supporting the team and coordinating training activity to support key programmes, managing essential data, and contributing to ongoing service development.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
6. Design and maintain systems and processes to support grant-funded social work programmes.
7. Manage the Practice Educator register, ensuring accuracy, compliance and effective coordination of training activity.
8. Support student placements and the ASYE programme, working closely with the Practice Learning Coordinator.
9. Coordinate annual projects relating to social work apprenticeships, Step Up to Social Work and teaching partnerships.
10. Administer internal and external partnership meetings, ensuring smooth communication and documentation.
11. Maintain and develop detailed reports and dashboards, providing data insights to support compliance and inform future planning.
