Kent County Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join its Safeguarding Service based in the Ashford office. Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans and Child in Need Plans
Undertake Section 47 investigations and safeguarding enquiries
Complete statutory visits, assessments, and care planning within timescales
Prepare high-quality reports for child protection conferences and court proceedings
Work closely with multi-agency partners to safeguard children and reduce risk
Maintain accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory guidance
Candidate Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
Experience within Safeguarding / Child Protection services
Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and statutory frameworks
Confident in court work and multi-agency safeguarding practice
Ability to manage complex cases effectively in a fast-paced environment
