Due to a growing volume of work, we are looking to hire an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a broad skill set across various disciplines, including design, engineering, construction, procurement, maintenance, and project management. This can be based at our Hamilton or Manchester Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities& Accountability
* A Strong ability to understand project objectives and deliverables
* Design and specification of electrical installations, from low voltage (LV) to 33kV systems
* Comprehensive modelling of electrical systems, including load calculations, fault level assessments, and coordination of protective measures
* Ensuring designs and on-site work comply with relevant standards and regulations
* Developing technical specifications for electrical equipment
Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes
The successful applicant will possess:
* A minimum qualification of HND/HNC or an equivalent credential is essential
* A minimum of five years of experience in electrical design
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other technical / electrical modelling software applications such as Amtech, ETAP, Power Factory, etc
* Familiarity with relevant technical standards is required
* Strong skills in professional report writing
