About the RoleWe are looking for a Product Compliance Officer with strong certification and product compliance experience to lead the technical governance of compliance across our Group.This is a critical role responsible for ensuring all products are fully tested, certified, and compliant with UK and international regulations before being released to market. You'll act as the key technical link between the business, certification bodies, and internal teams, supporting both new product development and ongoing compliance excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage all third-party product certifications and accreditations across the Group, ensuring they remain valid and up to dateLead the end-to-end certification process for new products, including:Factory Production Control (FPC)Product testing and validationSafety FMEAEngagement and coordination with Notified BodiesAct as the internal expert on product compliance, certification, and regulatory standardsEnsure adherence to UKCA / CE marking requirements and BS / EN / ISO standardsMonitor changes in legislation and standards, completing impact assessments and advising stakeholdersDevelop and maintain a robust "Golden Thread" of compliance data, ensuring accurate Declarations of Performance (DoPs)Conduct internal audits and supplier inspections to verify compliance against required standardsIdentify compliance risks and drive corrective actions to resolutionPerformance & AccountabilityDeliver product certifications in line with development and launch timelinesMaintain full compliance throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring certifications remain currentReduce non-conformances during external auditsProvide clear, actionable insight on regulatory changes and their impactSafeguard the business against non-compliance, including regulatory breaches and certification risksAbout YouEssentialDegree / HND / HNC in Engineering, Construction, or similar (or equivalent experience)Strong hands-on experience in product compliance, certification, and regulatory frameworksProven knowledge of:UKCA and CE markingProduct testing and certification processesBS / EN / ISO standardsUK Building Regulations (e.g. ADB, ADF, ADL, ADQ)Experience working with Notified Bodies and certification organisationsExcellent analytical skills with high attention to detailConfident communicator, able to translate complex compliance topics clearlyStrong documentation and Microsoft Office skillsDesirablePRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualificationBackground in PVCu windows/doors, extrusion, or glazing systemsUnderstanding of glass/sealed unit manufacturingExperience with ERP, PLM, or compliance data systemsWhy Join Us?Competitive salary31 days holiday (rising with service) + your birthday offPension and income protection (up to 4x salary)Comprehensive health & wellbeing support (EAP, occupational health, discounted gym access)Generous product discountsSalary sacrifice schemes (pension, electric vehicles, cycle to work, additional leave)Ongoing career development and learning opportunitiesImportant Information About Right to WorkWe're delighted that you're considering joining our team.
