About the Role: Milk Education is working in partnership with a group of specialist SEND provisions across Liverpool, supporting children and young people aged 5–16 with a range of complex needs including autism, SEMH, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced SEND Teacher to work part-time across either primary or secondary settings, depending on your expertise. You’ll be teaching small groups of pupils with EHCPs, many of whom have experienced trauma or exclusion from mainstream education. A nurturing, trauma-informed approach is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
2. Support pupils with EHCP targets and academic progress
3. Create a safe, structured learning environment that promotes emotional wellbeing
4. Work closely with LSAs, therapists, and care teams to ensure holistic support
5. Use creative strategies to re-engage pupils with learning
Essential Requirements:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – must be UK-recognised
7. Proven experience working in SEND settings (primary or secondary)
8. Strong understanding of autism, SEMH, and complex learning needs
9. Excellent behaviour management and de-escalation skills
10. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle – essential due to site locations
