Managing Quantity Surveyor, Oxford Location: Oxford Industry: Water / Wastewater Scope of Work: A key role within the commercial team delivering major wastewater infrastructure works on a landmark project in Oxford. Are you an experienced Quantity Surveying professional with experience in delivering across the commercial facets of projects? Have you ambitions to work on large-scale infrastructure projects? Turner Lovell is recruiting a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a leading, highly innovative, multi-national engineering services company in the UK. This is a brilliant opportunity for the right individual to join a well established, highly regarded business that is experiencing growth through their success in the market. You will be working on site in Oxford, with commercial responsibility across multiple phases of this multi-year project. With the support or the wider team, your responsibilities will include: Play an active part in culture of the team by encouraging and developing the commercial awareness of junior staff; motivation, performance oversight and delegation; ensuring the site team adheres to group procedures and governance. Preparation of internal commercial reporting; valuations / application for payment with full supporting documentation in accordance with the contract; Cost Reports to the Client with contractually compliant supporting documentation; and management of subcontract and material procurement schedules. Administration of subcontractor / supplier accounts from the preparation of detailed requisitions, monitoring and authorisation of subcontract payments through to agreement of final accounts. Undertake the contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registers; identifying commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change; challenging & managing in cost control / cost mitigation. Assisting with preparation of the Cost to Complete and Risk analysis Register for the projects(s); ensuring appropriate Client Management is initiated and maintained; and maintain / assist in the production of the margin improvement plan on the project.
