Job Description
As a Stock Operative, you will ensure that stock is accurately accounted for in the loading bay and store, supporting the sales team to provide efficient service to customers. Your responsibilities include managing the intake and distribution of deliveries, maintaining up-to-date paperwork, and using your initiative to resolve any issues. You will work effectively with colleagues to ensure timely receipt, unloading, and processing of deliveries. This role can be busy, requiring problem-solving skills, high standards of housekeeping, and adherence to safety and security practices at all times.
As a Stock Operative, you will:
* Support the organisation and prioritisation of deliveries to ensure they are received and processed on time, and delivered to the correct store departments.
* Collaborate with B&M on RTW/RTVs, supporting the sales team in collecting stock and preparing items for dispatch, ensuring all items are processed and accounted for.
* Keep all records up to date to track stock movements accurately.
* Maintain a clean and clear loading dock, ensuring all back-of-house areas and fire exits are unobstructed.
* Manage stock movements between various locations.
* Communicate regularly with stakeholders to keep them informed of incoming deliveries and any issues such as delays or missed deliveries.
* Distribute deliveries to designated areas efficiently.
