In this important role, you will take the lead in ensuring our home is kept to the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and hygiene. Your duties will include overseeing and supporting the housekeeping team, managing cleaning schedules, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring all areas of the home remain safe, welcoming, and well-presented. You will also be responsible for training, supervising, and motivating your team to deliver excellent standards at all times. This role is key to creating a safe and reassuring environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. Your work will directly contribute to the health, comfort, and wellbeing of everyone in our care.
Working hours will be 08:00am and 15:00pm and will include alternate weekends. The role will be 35hrs per week.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should ideally have experience working in a housekeeping or cleaning role, preferably within a care home, hotel, or similar environment where high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are essential. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience would be especially beneficial. An understanding of infection control, health and safety standards, and COSHH regulations is useful, but full training will be provided as part of our induction.
We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to motivate and support a team. You should be confident in taking initiative, managing cleaning schedules, and ensuring that high standards are consistently met, while also being a reliable and approachable team player.
A calm, organised, and professional approach is essential, as you'll be setting the example for your team and helping to create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
You must also be medically fit to carry out the physical aspects of the role safely and effectively, including lifting, bending, and operating cleaning equipment as required.
This role is central to realising the Home's Core Values every day, ensuring that residents experience an environment where Excellence, Caring, Integrity, Proactivity, Curiosity, and Teamwork are evident in the work of the housekeeping team.
