Lead post‑contract commercial management including budgets, forecasting, CVRs, cost reporting, and final accounts.
Manage change control, maintain financial impact assessments, and measure variations from revised drawings.
Oversee procurement strategies, approve subcontract orders, and ensure robust commercial terms.
Negotiate compensation events and oversee subcontract administration, payments, and commercial correspondence.
Identify cost risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies, ensuring accurate monthly reporting and governance.
Support delivery teams with commercial advice, cost analysis, and contract compliance.
Mentor and manage QSs, AQSs, trainees, and graduates to ensure high standards across all commercial outputs.
Analyse costs, produce detailed performance reports, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Drive integration of commercial processes across the business, promoting innovation and efficiency.
What you will bring:
5+ years’ experience as a QS on major civil engineering projects (rail, highways, infrastructure, utilities).
Strong knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, and JCT forms of contract, including variations, claims, and dispute resolution.
Expertise in cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and high‑level commercial reporting.
Skilled in negotiation, stakeholder management, and client communication.
Strong leadership ability with experience mentoring junior staff.
Highly detail‑focused with excellent financial and contractual accuracy.
