As a Retail & Timber Sales Team Member, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and engaging shopping experience for our customers. You will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, providing product knowledge, and ensuring the store is well-presented. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage your time efficiently will contribute to the overall success of our retail team.
Duties
* Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
* Provide detailed information about products, including features and benefits, to enhance customer understanding.
* Engage in sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Maintain an organised and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising practices.
* Handle transactions accurately using the till system, ensuring basic math skills are applied for cash / card handling.
* Respond to customer inquiries via phone with excellent phone etiquette, ensuring all communication is clear and professional.
* Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive working environment.
* Keep track of inventory levels and assist in restocking shelves as needed.
Experience
* Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers effectively.
* Good organisational skills are required to manage tasks efficiently within a busy retail environment.
