Position Overview:
Are you seeking a unique opportunity to develop your skills and advance your career as a Technical Services Pharmacist? We are seeking a Deputy Pharmacy Production Manager to join our innovative Pharmacy Production unit at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Trust (UHBW) due to a promotion.
The department is diverse, holding 'Specials' and Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP) licenses, is MHRA accredited, and conducts aseptic dispensing under Section 10 exemption and Pharmacist supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Associate Director of Pharmacy – Production in leading the Pharmacy Production Unit.
* Ensure safety, efficacy, and compliance of pharmaceutical products manufactured at UHBW.
* Contribute to healthcare advancement and improve patient outcomes.
* Participate in all departmental operations, including supervision, checking, and release of products.
* Lead for Clinical Trials and Investigational Medicinal Products.
* Work with the Quality Assurance Team to implement new products, processes, and maintain Quality Management Systems.
Product Types and Services:
The unit prepares CIVAS, Monoclonal Antibodies, Investigational Medicinal Products, ATMPs, aseptic batches, non-sterile batches, and extemporaneous preparations. It also provides a dispensing service for outsourced unlicensed products such as Total Parenteral Nutrition.
