Responsibilities

1. Ensure that the DCWW fleet is maintained in line with Statutory/Dft/DVSA standards

2. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with our Business Management system

3. Support the performance of the team by working in a professional and efficient way

4. Ensure that all aspects of vehicle and plant maintenance are completed, including paperwork and job card/record keeping

5. Support the team in achieving safety, performance and budget targets

6. Respond to customer requests and requirements as necessary

7. Carry out the routine servicing of vehicles in line with manufacturers standards

8. Repair and maintain vehicles and plant in a safe and roadworthy condition and in line with DfT/DVSA standards

9. Complete all associated documents for SAP processing within each calendar month

10. Purchase all materials from nominated suppliers

11. Maintain all workshop records in accordance with IMS procedures

12. Carry out repairs and servicing to industry standard times

13. Assist in achieving business plan targets

14. Carry out all work in accordance with the company's Health And Safety policy and systems

Who you\'ll work with

* Transport Services team
* Vehicle users / internal customers
* All other internal functions as required
* Suppliers
* Service providers such as MOT stations
* Other external agents, including customers, as required

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

* Full UK Driving Licence C+E category is preferred
* NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 in Heavy Goods Vehicle Technology with post apprenticeship experience on Heavy Goods Vehicles
* Experienced in maintaining HGVs to DVSA standards
* Good knowledge of health and safety requirements in vehicle maintenance
* Good customer service skills
* The ability to work on your own initiative, to plan and organise workloads and to complete all necessary documentation

* The successful candidate will be required to participate in a standby rota (1 week in 6).
