Operating within the Public Sector and Government sector, this role is vital in supporting the delivery of a compliant, high-quality, and customer-focused leasehold service. If you have a sharp eye for finance and a strong understanding of Section 20 legislation, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
As a Leasehold Development Officer, you will coordinate both informal and statutory consultation processes while acting as a trusted point of contact for our residents. Your main duties will include:
* Section 20 Consultations: Prepare and issue Notices of Intention, Estimates, and Reasons within strict statutory timeframes for all major works schemes.
* Billing & Financial Management: Calculate major works service charges based on lease terms and apportionment rules, processing invoices and recording cost variations accurately.
* Leaseholder Engagement: Respond to complex enquiries regarding billing and lease obligations, and organize on-site consultation meetings to promote positive resident relationships.
* Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Major Works, Finance, and Fire/Building Safety teams to manage data linked to the Building Safety Act requirements.

* Proven experience working in a leasehold, housing management, property services, or legal role.
* Experience administering statutory or informal consultations with residents.
* A strong understanding of leasehold legislation, Section 20 requirements, and landlord obligations.
* Excellent numeracy skills with experience in calculating service charges or managing financial adjustments.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle complex queries empathetically.
