General Practice Nurse
Permanent Part-time Contract: 25 hours over Wednesdays 9-6pm, Thursdays 8-4pm and Fridays 9-6pm
Salary Westgate Salary Band 5 or 6
Starting salary - Point 1 Band 5 £31726.52 or Point 1 Band 6 £40031.65 (or higher depending upon experience)
Due to upcoming maternity leave we have an opportunity for a Nurse to support our energetic and innovative clinical team. This will be a permanent contract. We are looking to recruit an experienced and committed Nurse to work permanently alongside our friendly multi-disciplinary team.
Our practice Clinical Care Team looking after our 13500 patients consists of 10 x GP Partners, 1 x Retainer GP, 6 x Practice Nurses, 1 x Healthcare Assistant and a comprehensive admin support team. We have community staff on site and an attached pharmacy team. We are a training practice and have trainee GPs on our team, as well as hosting 4th year medical students and FY2 doctors on placements.

The Practice Nurse role in Westgate is a varied and exciting position. The main duties will involve Long-Term Condition Management for which experience is desirable. There are opportunities to undertake further training in minor illness management and/or independent prescribing supported by the practice.
