Behaviour Teaching Assistant

About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Milton Keynes. This role involves working closely with students who may display challenging behaviour, helping them engage positively with learning and school life.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural needs
* Implement behaviour management strategies consistently
* Support teachers in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Help students develop social, emotional, and communication skills
* Monitor and record student progress and behaviour
* Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals
Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people (school, youth work, or care setting)
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Calm, patient, and resilient approach
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting young people
Desirable:
* Experience with SEND (e.g., ADHD, ASD, SEMH)
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
